We Christian hip-hop artists have a hard time, don’t we? Especially when we are trying to get support (especially financially) from our home churches. But one of the things I’ve noticed and I know most of you have noticed is that non-believers that we know in the music industry have no problem supporting us or even doing music with us? Why is that?
I don’t want to spend more time then necessary or tell as story as usually. I want to get into the habit of writing shorter posts for anything that has more then five points, tips, or truths. So here are the 7 reasons why I believe God’s Hip-Hop artists will do much better in the music industry then in the local churches.
The first news takes place on Linkedin. A few days ago, there was an announcement giving by Christian Hip-Hop Group founder/owner Tiffany Benitez. Here’s her announcement:
“If anyone is looking to take over moderation of this group I would be glad to turn it over to someone. I need to open up some room to join some other career-related groups and I do not want to have to delete this one.”
Hey! What’s up fam? My name is RicardoButler aka ReAsOnDiSciPLe!
Thank you for tuning into the RicardoEquipsArtisticLeaders Podcast where I help equipartisticlyricists like yourself to be Five Fold Davidical Hip-Hop Leaders to impact and influence the hip-hopministry, industry, and culture!
I believe that God is calling YOU to be a leader. What kind of leader? Perhaps the five He’s already listed in His Word. Such as …
1.A music business entrepreneurialapostle like King David,
2.A creative voice and poetic authority as a prophet like Jeduthun/Ethan,
3.A music teacher and instructor like Chenaniah,
4.An artist manager type of pastor like Heman,
5.Or maybe a music marketer or promoting evangelist like Asaph to function in the hip-hop ministry, industry, and culture.
That’s why I am here. I’m looking to build a network of hip-hopleaders who want to make the necessary change and difference that God wants so that He might be glorified to you, in you, through you, and as you to others in your holy hip-hop ministry or business.
If you have been paying attention up until this point a majority of my blogs (and some podcasts) have been taking from the chronological order of Jesus’ Life & Ministry.
Every heading that started out with “Read/Study/Understand? & Apply” and whatever the chapter and verses is me letting you know that we are basically doing a bible study of the life of Jesus and how we can learn from Him and do what we saw Him doing but in the music industry.
But we are doing more than that though. We are not just reading it; we are seeking revelation from the Spirit on understanding it and then applying it. While you guys are getting this blog on whatever day it’s published, I didn’t write it the same day. Each of these specific blog posts have been written over a couple of days or even up to a two week period as I wait on the Lord for what He wants me to say concerning the musicministry, industry, and hip-hop culture.
