In this podcast, in the release of my new book, Five Fold Davidical Hip-Hop Leaders: Influencing the Hip-Hop Ministry, Industry, and Culture, I talk about what the purpose of the Five Fold Ministry is in the music industry. What they are called to do and how they are called to do it.

So the Levites APPOINTED … the singers [minstrels], Heman [the PASTOR], Asaph [the EVANGELIST], and Ethan [also called Jeduthun the PROPHET], were APPOINTED to sound with cymbals of brass; and Chenaniah [the TEACHER], chief of the Levites, was for song …” (1st Chronicles 15:16-17, 19, 22).

This podcast talks about how there is POWER in agreement ON THE WORD!

Remember to free people from the bonds of Satan …

You need to be SPEAKING the Word of God.
You need to be SPEAKING the Word of God CLEARLY SO THAT ALL MAY HEAR AND UNDERSTAND.
You need to be SPEAKING the Word of God in agreement with God’s TRUE ministers.
And finally, though I didn’t mention this, you need to be speaking by the ANOINTING OF GOD! You natural talent to rap holds not weight. Your talent is just a gift that makes room for you and brings you before people (Proverbs 18:16). But it’s the ANOINTING that breaks chains.

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed BECAUSE OF THE ANOINTING [that comes from the SPIRIT, not your talent to rap].” (Isaiah 10:27).

And in these end times God is raising up Five Fold Ministers/Leaders who will restore by His Spirit the musical order and the purpose for hip-hop. We are going to talk more about that in detail in the days ahead.

I will not talk much about David because we’ve been talking a lot about David already. But for this blog series I will talk about some things that were not covered in my new book about the Five Fold Hip-Hop Ministry.

Asaph the Recorder

Asaph’s name means, “collector, to GATHER TOGETHER FOR ANY PURPOSE.” Is this not what the Evangelist is called to do? To go out and GATHER for the Lord‘s Wedding? He was the EVANGELIST!

“A Psalm or Song of Asaph. In Judah is God known [Asaph was PREACHING THE GOSPEL by making known the Father]: His name is great in Israel [And Asaph was PREACHING THE NAME OF THE LORD--CHRIST!].” (Psalms 76:1).

“Asaph the recorder [Heb: 'mention, make mention, make mention of, recount, record (WITNESS, be a witness), recorder, remember, make to be remembered, bring to remembrance, call to remembrance, keep in remembrance, put in remembrance'].” (2^nd Kings 18:18).

“All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house [Church] of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house [Church] of God, according to the king’s [apostle's] order [charge, mandate] to Asaph [the evangelist in the Scriptures (as far as I have seen) always worked in direct contact to the apostle] …” (1^st Chronicle 25:6).

In a message and Keynote video, which is now a workshop and a top topic for speaking engagements (for more info on other topics go to http://www.ricardoequips.com/speaking-and-events/), I wrote this in a 13 Point Vision Casting Series called “What is ‘Holy Hip-Hop?’ Introduction Pt 3 – Identify The Players on the Field”:

Who is your Goliath? (I’d like to change this to, Who is OUR Goliath? All of us, especially in the hip-hop section of the Davidical Arts need to identify together who is our greatest block from ‘taking the land’. I believe for us it would be the 4 major record labels. They are our Goliaths! We need to take our five stones {the Hip-Hop Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Evangelists, and Pastors} out there and take Goliath down. Then cut off its head—remove leadership!)

I can’t remember when I put together the original message, but after doing some recent research I found out that our Goliath is losing power. They think they are getting stronger but they are not. This is what I found on Wikipedia:

“Record labels are often under the control of a corporate umbrella organization called a “music group“. A music group is typically owned by an international conglomerate “holding company“, which often has non-music divisions as well. A music group controls and consists of music publishing companies, record (sound recording) manufacturers, record distributors, and record labels. As of 2007, the “big four” music groups control about 70% of the world music market, and about 80% of the United States music market.^[2][3]Record companies (manufacturers, distributors, and labels) may also comprise a “record group” which is, in turn, controlled by a music group. The constituent companies in a music group or record group are sometimes marketed as being “divisions” of the group.”

If you’ve noticed above there WERE FOUR and NOW there ARE THREE! EMI has fallen, has fallen (as the old Babylon saying goes) and was absorbed into the other three. So Goliath is no much of a threat as he used to be. He’s still big, but our God is much bigger!

We all know that there is a problem with the music industry. God has given us a solution through Christ. Then Christ’s plan was to move in and through us to solve these problems! How awesome is that!

So let’s learn five ways on how we can use Christ’s Five Stones!

Hey fam in Christ

My name is Ricardo Butler of Ricardo Equips Artistic Leaders (R.E.A.L.), MIC Assembly Davidical Arts Network, Breakers Network of Apostles and Prophets, and Dead To Flesh Records (All under the Kingdom of God).

If you remember, I made a post last year (December 2012) about a dream and vision of bringing together a stronger unity among ministers in our industry, mostly for those who wanted move in biblical and covenant unity.

So this is my formal invitation to you to be part of this sort of “Master Mind” of Christ group to discuss topics concerning the Arts, Entertainment, Gaming, Music, Sports, Fashion, and Media Industries (which all have some part in the Hip-Hop Culture) and how we as Children of God can come up with biblical solutions using the Spirit, Anointing, Wisdom, and any other resource (truth, thought, time, talent, & treasures) of God to transform the hearts and minds that these industries will be changed.

This group exist to gather together creative artists that have been either rejected or have moved away from “the existing music system” to equip them to be artistic leaders in the Five Fold for the purpose of bringing the Ark (Praise, Principles, Pattern, People, Power, Provision, and Presence) of God back to the restored Davidical Tabernacle (the Body of Christ) to Impact the Hip-Hop Cultures of Music, Marketplace, Ministry, and Media imparting faith, hope, and LOVE using our artistic anointing and abilities in the process.

This group is a support community for those who are called to rise up to the Five Fold Hip-Hop Ministry and Hip-Hop Business who desire to truly impact lives and advance the Kingdom of God through their music businesses throughout the music ministry (church), industry (business–mainstream), and culture (the streets–underground).

Every member of this group, especially me, will be asked to provide inspiration, case studies, tips, wisdom, Scriptures and more … all that will help each other to start or grow a Spirit-led hip-hop business and to advance the Kingdom in the music industry for ultimate transformation of the culture.

Whether you’re just getting started in your hip-hop ministry or business, thinking about getting started, or are a seasoned hip-hop minister or music business owner, there is something in this community for you.
