Some Christians Try to Act like They Have No Problems

Some Christians Try to Act like They Have No Problems

I was recommended a podcast to listen to by a business brother of mine in Christ named Amos Johnson Jr. over there at the Church for Entrepreneurs.

I think the podcast had something to do with business, but I was interested in some other things that I came across on the website. There was a particular article that caught my attention called, “Seven Common Comments Non-Christians Make about Christians” by Thom Rainer. He is the president and CEO of LifeWay Christian Resources.

This is actually part 6 of 7. You can read the others in the series at:

Integrity in Teaching Uncompromised Truth

Integrity in Teaching Uncompromised Truth

Apostle Ricardo Butler

Have you ever had an older brother or sister who when your parents weren’t around was “in charge?” Or even worse, did you have an older sibling who when your parents weren’t around they seems to make up rules “in the name of mom and dad” just so they could get you to obey them for their benefit?

That’s what is going on in the church when the question of having integrity in teaching the uncompromised truths of the Scripture. I already talked a little bit about “The Restoration of Apostolic Doctrine” in another article. So you can go there to check that out. This will be sort of a part two, but more so with dealing with the heart of the issue for the lack of the apostles’ doctrine.

I Don’t See Much Difference in the Way Christians Live Compared to Others

I Don’t See Much Difference in the Way Christians Live Compared to Others

I was recommended a podcast to listen to by a business brother of mine in Christ named Amos Johnson Jr. over there at the Church for Entrepreneurs.

I think the podcast had something to do with business, but I was interested in some other things that I came across on the website. There was a particular article that caught my attention called, “Seven Common Comments Non-Christians Make about Christians” by Thom Rainer. He is the president and CEO of LifeWay Christian Resources.

This is actually part 4 of 7. You can read the others in the series at:

  1. Christians are against more things than they are for. “It just seems to me that Christians are mad at the world and mad at each other. They are so negative that they seem unhappy. I have no desire to be like them and stay upset all the time.”
  2. I would like to develop a friendship with a Christian. “I’m really interested in what they believe and how they carry out their beliefs. I wish I could find a Christian that would be willing to spend some time with me.”
  3. I would like to learn about the Bible from a Christian. “The Bible really fascinates me, but I don’t want to go to a stuffy and legalistic church to learn about it. I would be nice if a Christian invited me to study the Bible in his home or at a place like Starbucks.”

In today’s article I want to address the third issue, which is, “I Don’t See Much Difference in the Way Christians Live Compared to Others”. And that point he wrote,

“I really can’t tell what a Christian believes because he doesn’t seem much different than other people I know. The only exception would be Mormons. They really seem to take their beliefs seriously.”

EPISODE 52 – A Leader’s Words Hold Stricter Judgment [PODCAST]

EPISODE 52 – A Leader’s Words Hold Stricter Judgment [PODCAST]

By Apostle Ricardo Butler

In today’s podcast, I actually go more into detail about the consequence of the words we are leaders speak among those around us, whether for good or bad.

THIS IS A 4 PART SERIES!

STUDY, UNDERSTAND, & APPLY …

“And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” (Genesis 1:24-31, KJV).

“God spoke: “Earth, generate life! Every sort and kind:
cattle and reptiles and wild animals—all kinds.”
And there it was:
wild animals of every kind,
Cattle of all kinds, every sort of reptile and bug.
God saw that it was good.” (Genesis 1:24-25, The Message).

EPISODE 51 – A Message of Hope for New Equippers [PODCAST]

EPISODE 51 – A Message of Hope for New Equippers [PODCAST]

By Apostle Ricardo Butler

In today’s podcast, I give an encouraging word for emerging or newly appointed/ordain leaders in the five fold ministry.

Sometimes it can be tough to put all that training and equipping together or from where to start. God sends you some people to disciple up and you have all this training and equipping and information and truth on what to do but sometime how to do it can get confusing because of all the knowledge you have gained.

Let me encourage you how to start, where to start, and to tell you don’t be discouraged when you do make mistakes or fail with a person you are equipping goes astray and rebels.

STUDY, UNDERSTAND, & APPLY …

“And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.” (Genesis 1:20-23, KJV).

“God spoke: “Swarm, Ocean, with fish and all sea life!
Birds, fly through the sky over Earth!”
God created the huge whales,
all the swarm of life in the waters,
And every kind and species of flying birds.
God saw that it was good.
God blessed them: “Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Ocean!
Birds, reproduce on Earth!”
It was evening, it was morning—
Day Five.” (The Message).
