I Don’t See Much Difference in the Way Christians Live Compared to Others

I Don’t See Much Difference in the Way Christians Live Compared to Others

I was recommended a podcast to listen to by a business brother of mine in Christ named Amos Johnson Jr. over there at the Church for Entrepreneurs.

I think the podcast had something to do with business, but I was interested in some other things that I came across on the website. There was a particular article that caught my attention called, “Seven Common Comments Non-Christians Make about Christians” by Thom Rainer. He is the president and CEO of LifeWay Christian Resources.

This is actually part 4 of 7. You can read the others in the series at:

  1. Christians are against more things than they are for. “It just seems to me that Christians are mad at the world and mad at each other. They are so negative that they seem unhappy. I have no desire to be like them and stay upset all the time.”
  2. I would like to develop a friendship with a Christian. “I’m really interested in what they believe and how they carry out their beliefs. I wish I could find a Christian that would be willing to spend some time with me.”
  3. I would like to learn about the Bible from a Christian. “The Bible really fascinates me, but I don’t want to go to a stuffy and legalistic church to learn about it. I would be nice if a Christian invited me to study the Bible in his home or at a place like Starbucks.”

In today’s article I want to address the third issue, which is, “I Don’t See Much Difference in the Way Christians Live Compared to Others”. And that point he wrote,

“I really can’t tell what a Christian believes because he doesn’t seem much different than other people I know. The only exception would be Mormons. They really seem to take their beliefs seriously.”

Regional Unity Among Leaders Pt 2 A Look from a Family Angle

Regional Unity Among Leaders Pt 2 A Look from a Family Angle

By Apostle Ricardo Butler

I wrote a blog article a few weeks ago called “Regional Unity among Leaders”, where I spoke on a huge need between five fold leaders in regional and local areas.

For some reason I still had this feeling that the post really didn’t touch on the point as I desired nor that reflected the father’s heart.

I had meant to write this article as a part 2 of sorts to that article, but the Lord directed that I write on the subject from a perspective of family rather then on leadership.

Scouting Out Canaan

“God [the Father] spoke to Moses [symbolic for Jesus]: “SEND men [symbolic for apostles] to scout out the country of Canaan [symbolic for the whole world-satan’s kingdom so that it would become God’s Kingdom] that I am giving to the People of Israel [symbolic for the Church of God]. Send one man from each ancestral tribe [‘tribe of their father’—KJV], each one A TRIED-AND-TRUE LEADER in the tribe [symbolic for measure of rule/sphere of influence—REGION].”

“So Moses SENT [like Christ sent the apostles] them off from the Wilderness of Paran at the command of God. All of them were LEADERS in Israel, one from each tribe. These were their names:

8 Leadership Revelations from the Birth of Jesus

8 Leadership Revelations from the Birth of Jesus

[Read, Study, Understand, Apply, Live, and Share YOUR Experience of Matthew 1:18-25]

By Apostle Ricardo Butler

Have you ever heard this statement?

“Leaders are made, not born.”

I beg to differ. Technically and logically we are all born. A leader cannot be made before he is actually born.

So leaders are first born and then made! In fact, Jesus was BORN to LEAD! In sort of a Q&A between Jesus and Pontus Pilate I learned this revelation below:

“My Kingdom is not of this world [Gk: kosmos, meaning ‘the system or orderly arrangement of the whole or some part of human society’]: if My Kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is My Kingdom not from here.” (John 18:36).

Pilate had asked Him,

“Are you a king then?”

Christ answered,

SHAPE Pt 10 Using Five Fold Leadership Gifts in the Music Industry: The Pastor

SHAPE Pt 10 Using Five Fold Leadership Gifts in the Music Industry: The Pastor

By Ricardo ‘ReAsOn’ Butler

This is the tenth part of a mini-series of blog articles concerning how God designed you in His image. It’s called the SHAPE principle. I am pretty sure you have heard of it by Pastor Rick Warren from both his books The Purpose Driven Life and The Purpose Driven Church. But what I want to do now is see how we can apply the ministry or body gifts to the hip-hop ministry, industry, and culture.

“Oh yes, You SHAPED me first inside, then out;
You formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank You, High God—You’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
You know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, You watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before You,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day.”
(Psalms 139:13-16, The Message).

  • Ability {natural talent, skills, expertise},
  • Personality {temperaments: Driver, Expressive, Analytical, and Amiable},
