In this podcast, in the release of my new book, Five Fold Davidical Hip-Hop Leaders: Influencing the Hip-Hop Ministry, Industry, and Culture, I talk about what the purpose of the Five Fold Ministry is in the music industry. What they are called to do and how they are called to do it.

“And David [the APOSTLE] spake to the chief of the Levites to APPOINTED [Heb: 'confirm, establish, appoint, ORDAIN'] their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy. So the Levites APPOINTED … the singers [minstrels], Heman [the PASTOR], Asaph [the EVANGELIST], and Ethan [also called Jeduthun the PROPHET], were APPOINTED to sound with cymbals of brass; and Chenaniah [the TEACHER], chief of the Levites, was for song …” (1st Chronicles 15:16-17, 19, 22).

I’m not interpreting the Scripture into a “What does this mean?” kind of verse. I am more of a “Lord, what do you want me to DO?” upon reading this verse. Too many trying to figure stuff out mentally instead seeing how they can work out their salvation with trembling and fear (Phil. 2:12). So let’s learn how to DO the Word (James 1:22) and we will figure out faster what it means.

 

The Scriptures say DOING is sometimes the fastest way to understand the interpretation of a verse then trying to figure it out so you can do it.

 

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, a GOOD UNDERSTANDING have all they that DO His commandments: His praise endures for ever [for the eon].” (Psalm 111:10).

 

“If any man will DO His will, he [YOU—the reader] shall KNOW of [concerning] the doctrine [teaching], whether it be of God, or whether I speak of [make it up of] Myself.” (John 7:17).

 

So let’s switch the order and do first and let the Lord reveal why later. That’s how faith works anyway. If you understood in the beginning then you would not need faith to do it. Makes sense right? I sure hope so!

Now I am going to talk about a subject that I do not speak on much. I mean I have taught it before, but that was back when I was teaching on the Energetic Evangelist Course. Some of the final lesson in that course speaks about equipping Evangelists how to do deliverance ministry.

 

You know what deliverance ministry is. It’s when we cast out demons. It’s spiritual warfare. I talk about spiritual warfare a lot, especially in the Passionate Prophet Course. For some reason in my weird mine it seems more normal to talk about it when teaching on Apostolic and Prophetic Ministry. It doesn’t seem natural for me to teach it in the Evangelist lesson. But truthfully all of the Five Fold Ministry is involved in some form of spiritual warfare, especially casting out demons.

 

In this message, I want to talk to you from the Five Fold Hip-Hop Ministry standpoint using our music. A lot of people don’t think Hip-Hop directed by God does not or cannot cast out demons. Again, I am here to challenge the normal mindsets out there. That’s just what I do!

Anyway, we are here again, talking about the Five Fold Hip-Hop Ministers as hidden in shadows, metaphors, and allegories in the Old Testament’s life of Kind David. Hence the reason why I titled this new/next book, The ‘MC’ (which means Master Constructor) Part 11 – Five-Fold Davidical Leaders: Influencing the Hip-Hop Ministry, Industry, and Culture.

 

Today we are going to talk about the Jeduthun (don’t ask me how to pronounce it). That’s why I call him by his other name, as given in the Bible, which is Ethan.

 

So let’s find out about this dude and see how we can apply the principles to the New Covenant Prophet and today’s modern day music minstrels—the Holy Hip Hoppers!

 

 

Jeduthun who Prophesied

 

Jeduthun’s name in Hebrew means, “laudatory, revere, praise.” He was also called Ethan, which means, “permanent, strong.” The Bible says that he was the PROPHET!

 

” …  Jeduthun, who should PROPHECY with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals …” (1st Chronicle 25:1).

 

“… under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who PROPHESIED with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.” (1st Chronicle 25:3).

 

It’s like I said about Chenaniah the Teacher, Jeduthun is pretty self-explanatory that he is the prophet. Well, scripturally all of the music minstrels are prophetic, which is the same today with the Holy Hip-Hop heads. The basic or the lowest level of the prophetic ministry in the Greek just means “inspired speaker or poet.”

We are going move right along into the series with Heman the Hip-Hop Pastor, which we have probably spoken almost as much as we have on King David, the apostolic type. Plus I already wrote a whole book for free talking about the Hip-Hop Pastor called, The Davidical Record Executive: A Psalms 23 Leadership Mini-Devotional. We all know that Psalms 23 is the Good Shepherd or Good Pastor passage. So let’s get into some stats and brief highlights for the Hip-Hop Pastor.

 

 

Heman the Overseer

 

Heman’s name means, “faithful, properly to BUILD UP or SUPPORT; to FOSTER (to promote the growth and development of; cultivate) as a parent or nurse; figuratively to render (or be) firm or faithful, to trust or believe, to be permanent or quiet; morally to be true or certain.” This sounds a lot LIKE A PASTOR to me! He was the PASTOR!

 

“ALL these were the sons ['sons' are symbolic for 'disciples'] of Heman the king’s seer [prophet, overseer (pastor)--Remember in Acts 20, the Apostle Paul called the elders OVERSEERS] in the Words of God [the SHEPHERD/pastor FEEDS the flock with the MILK of Word of God], to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters [It sounds like Heman has his own little flock (Church) of 17 sheep].” (1st Chronicle 25:5).

 

It doesn’t get any simpler than this. If you cannot see that this is a musical pastor, then I don’t know what to tell you.

Here’s a good question that was asked! (This is an actual question I had with one of my beloved brothers in Christ and my answers. I changed up the words a bit so the principle can apply to a larger scale or crowd wondering about this.)

“Do mentored Apostles always Follow senior Apostles? It seems from your teaching so?”

 

Not necessarily. For example: Joshua fulfill Moses’ mandate and did FAR MORE AND BETTER than Moses. He actually succeeded where Moses Failed. The double portion principle always applies ONLY to the discipled. The disciple will ALWAYS exceed the master and do greater works.

 

If the disciple doesn’t then the Master’s failure was most likely that he mixed worldly principles into his teaching making the Word of God of non-effect, this rendering the power of the disciple useless. The disciple will at least be produced after the kind, likeness, and image of his or her master, mentor, senior leader, apostolic parent.

 

I always encourage mine to do better than me. If I do something that contradicts Divine order my students should discard it when he or she is on her own and ask for the Lord to make up the difference. That’s how the double portion works.

Introduction

 

Finally we come to the last part of this series concerning the kind of person that God will use to lead His music ministries and music businesses. It will start with that old shepherd boy with a harp to becoming God-ordained kings and reestablishing the Davidical Arts Teams (musical Levites/Priesthood of the Believers who are prophetic in nature) around the Body of Christ and throughout the world to lead many that has breath to breathe to praise and worship towards God. And this will be because of the awesome sacrifice and seating of the Lord Jesus Christ at God’s right hand for the ages to come! It can’t get any better than that!

 

This particular message talks about the “increase of God” (1 Cor. 3:6) and the “all things shall be added unto you” (Matt. 6:33). This is the harvest and blessing message when you have properly planted as the Spirit has empowered and lead you and have properly watered and nurtured that seed. God WILL always give you and your team the increase when you follow Kingdom protocol.

 

Spiritual Then Material

 

Your blessing will start in the Throne room of God and then that blessing; that spiritual Word (promise) becomes flesh and it manifests in the natural. It says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”

 

“Goodness” means, “good (as an adjective) in the widest sense; (good, a good or good thing, a good man or woman; the good, goods or good things, good men or women), also as an adverb (well):–beautiful, best, better, bountiful, cheerful, at ease, X fair (word), (be in) favor, fine, glad, good (deed, goodlier, goodliest, goodly, goodness, goods), graciously, joyful, kindly, kindness, liketh (best), loving, merry, X most, pleasant, + pleaseth, pleasure, precious, prosperity, ready, sweet, wealth, welfare, (be) well favored.”

 

And “Mercy” means, “kindness; by implication (towards God) piety: beauty:–favor, good deed, kindly, loving-kindness, merciful (kindness), mercy, pity.”

 

This is what the Scripture means when it says,

 

“Blessed [Gk: ‘adorable:--blessed’] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed [Gk: ‘to speak well of, i.e. (spiritually) to bless (thank or invoke a benediction upon, prosper):--bless, praise’] us with all spiritual blessings [Gk: ‘fine speaking, i.e. elegance of language; commendation, i.e. (reverentially) adoration; spiritually, benediction; by implication, consecration; by extension, benefit or largess:--blessing (a matter of) bounty (generosity; liberality, abundance; plenty, a monetary gift or reward, typically given by a government, a sum paid to encourage trade, a sum paid to army or navy recruits upon enlistment, something given or occurring in generous amounts), fair speech’] in [KINGDOM] heavenly places in Christ.” (Ephesians 1:3).

 

WOW! Do you see all that? It starts in the spiritual and then it manifests in the naturally. It starts with a Spiritual Word, a prophetic Word of the Lord or something that He has put in your heart or mind as a vision or revelation. He speaks things into existence! This is God’s PROMISE or WILL for your life. God will keep that promise because He is no liar.
