Let’s start off right by laying our foundational truths for this new blog series.

Actually this series is taking from a future book that I was going to do, but it did not materialize when the Lord took me another direction.

 

“I AM crucified[Gk: ‘to impale (pierce, stab, run through) on the cross; figuratively, to extinguish (subdue) passion or selfishness:--crucify’] with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth IN me: and the Life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith OF the Son of God, who LOVES me, and gave Himself FOR me. And they that are Christ’s [that belong to Christ’s flesh—Body] have crucified the flesh with the affections [Gk: ‘something undergone, i.e. hardship or pain; subjectively, an emotion or influence:-- affection, affliction, motion, suffering’] and lusts [Gk: ‘a longing (especially for what is forbidden):--concupiscence (strong sexual desire or lust), desire, lust (after)’].” (Galatians 2:20 & 5:24).

 

“For IF ye [ALL of you] live after the flesh, ye [ALL of you] shall die: but IF ye [all of you] through the Spirit do mortify[Gk: ‘to kill (literally or figuratively):--become dead, (cause to be) put to death, kill, mortify’] the deeds of the body [flesh], ye [all of you] shall live. Mortify therefore your members [body parts] which are upon the earth [in the flesh]; fornication [sex sins (adultery, harlotry, incest, homosexuality, etc)], uncleanness [moral impurity], inordinate affection [strong lust], evil concupiscence [lusting after God would now what you to have], and covetousness [material greed], which is idolatry [hero worship, demon worship, putting anything before God, self-worship, PRIDE].” (Romans 8:13 & Colossians 3:15).

 

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth MUCH FRUIT [Faith, Hope, Love]. I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die[Gk: ‘to die off (literally or figuratively):--be dead, death, die, lie a-dying, (present as a living sacrifice to) be slain’] DAILY. Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened [the seeds that you so do not grow and come to life until …], except it DIE. For to me to live is Christ, and to die IS GAIN. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment [judging and correcting self (see 1 Cor. 11:31-32) will produce GAIN, LIFE, AND MUCH FRUIT].” (John 12:24, 1St Corinthians 15:31, 36, Philippians 1:21, & Hebrews 9:27).

Tell us a little bit about yourself. The before Christ, how did Christ call you, and where are you at with Christ today?

 

I grew up knowing about the Lord. I was taught how to pray at an early age. I always feel the need to help other children who have low self-esteem, who have been bullied, and have no place to turn. The Lord laid on my heart heavily that I should help kids. That’s when He gave me the vision to start my own organization, Y.E.S Kidz (Young, Equipped and Saved). At first, it was Kidz For Christ but I realized other organizations were using the name. Due to lack of resources I didn’t get serious about it until 5 yrs later in my late teens, when I heard the voice of God for the first time. I was crying myself to sleep asking God for help, so I wouldn’t sink deep in the traps of the enemy. After that I fully surrendered to God’s will and His way. Today I am saved, trying to stay on the right path, obeying His will, and changing myself daily to be all that I can be.

 

Who has He called you to reach, help, minister too, or serve in your business?

 

God has called me to show salvation to the lost kids and unloved souls that most youth are burdened by and to make Christianity fun, exciting, and inviting to young people. I also strive to help kids know Christ and to make Him known. My ministry is Y.E.S Kidz (Young, Equipped and Saved).

 

Our mission statement at Y.E.S Kidz is that we believe it’s always the right time to make a change and impact on the youth that are hungry for something more and yearn for something different. Y.E.S Kidz is a safe haven for kids, teens and young adults. It will allow one to know and get closer to God in a fun non-traditional, non-judgmental, and non-denominational way. This way we can reach out to the youth, encourage adults in difficult times, spread the Word of God and bring together unity in the young generation under God.

 

This organization will be a center for kids and young adults to go for support, counseling, and tutoring for kids who want to succeed in life. It will serve as a safe place for kids to stay after school to keep away from drama so that parents may feel at ease. There will also be a support system for women and men.

Tell us a little bit about yourself. The before Christ, how did Christ call you, and where are you at with Christ today?

 

I was raised in the church, and have sensed His presence intimately since I was a small child. I wandered from His path at various times in my life, but His grace and mercy pulled me back every time.

 

Today, I am at a better place with Christ that I have never been. I lay down my life on the altar at His throne. His love guides my path, and governs all of my affairs.

 

Who has He called you to reach, help, minister too, or serve in your business?

 

The name of my ministry is E.P.I.C. Ministries. The ministry that the Lord has given me is very diverse. I counsel, disciple, teach, meet physical needs, guide, witness, and prophetically intercede in the Spirit.

Tell us a little bit about yourself. The before Christ, how did Christ call you, and where are you at with Christ today?

 

I have always been in to hip-hop. Before I came to Christ, I was doing my best to emulate cats like Wu-Tang, etc. Unfortunately, lust and alcohol were also a pretty prevalent part of my life at the time. I rededicated my life to Christ in 2006. Since then, I have rekindled my gift of emceeing into a tool that I use for the glory of Christ. I have also dedicated a significant portion of my service to ministering to teenagers through football as well as in the youth ministry at my home church.

 

Who has He called you to reach, help, minister too, or serve in your business?

 

My ministry is “Theo-Soul: The Soundtrack for a theocentric lifestyle”. The goal of this ministry is to meet new believers at the door, so to speak, and to help them to adjust to their new lifestyle in Christ. My scriptural foundation is Eph 4:12. I set out to accomplish this goal through the use of creative media (hip-hop, spoken word, musings and so on). I want the new believers to see that a new life in Christ does not mean a life that is restrictive; rather, a life that is alive in Him!
